Rab supports the 47th Edition of Banff

Also this year, Rab renews partnership with Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival

Outdoor brand Rab and Banff Center Mountain Film and Book Festival celebrate the sixth anniversary of their partnership. From Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 in Banff and Canmore, Canada, the forty-seventh edition of the popular festival will be held, showcasing the best films, books and photographs on the theme of mountains (climbing, culture, environment and natural history, exploration and adventure, wildlife and sports) and attracting the biggest names in mountaineering, adventure film and exploration.

Following the success of previous years, Rab gave hundreds of young artists the opportunity to compete with the goal of creating unique artwork for the festival. The winner was Jack Spotwart and his artwork, representing the famous Lake Louise located in the heart of Banff National Park, was presented to the public recently. Jack is an illustrator living in the Scottish Highlands who draws inspiration from the outdoors and hopes to inspire others to respect nature and build a deeper understanding of it.

During the festival, activities include a “Hike and Sketch” with Jack Spotwart; live mountain music by Rapid Grass with Rab athlete Mark Morris; and a panel discussion hosted by Buff, Rab, POW and Mountain Equipment Company on “The Power of Community: How Can We Initiate Change?” where Rab will share insights on its sustainability strategy with a goal of achieving Net Zero by 2030.
