Canada Goose Overboard Yellow Rainwear

Canada Goose Overboard Yellow Rainwear

Along the tradition, the high visibility rainwear

The iconic yellow rainwear was an unintended side effect of the first waterproofing methods. Linseed oil, painted on sailcloths that were then transformed into waxed or waterproofed canvas capes, turned yellow as the fabric aged, becoming the symbol and image of the first fishermen who wore those garments during their work. Over the years new fabrics were developed for waterproof garments but the colour yellow remained a reference. It was, in fact, ideal to increase the visibility of fishermen in case of fog, stormy seas or if lost at sea.

Canada Goose launches high visibility rainwear, characterized by a lightweight, breathable, yet durable fabric (Tri-Durance), high waterproofness thanks to heat-sealed seams and water-repellent zips, and super functional interior and exterior details.
