Cober expands its collection of trekking poles

The made-in-Italy brand of trekking poles introduces three new models for the SS23 season: Cardamine and Taraxacum, for adults and children approaching alpine hiking, and Artemisia, for the new generation of fast hiking enthusiasts.

Cardamine and Taraxacum are Cober’s answer to the needs of new mountain users. Made of strong and lightweight aluminum tubing, they are accessorized with a simple and functional second-life plastic knob, a durable steel ferrule. Cardamine is the three-section adjustable pole for adults, available in two colors (green and blue/orange) with a range of 110 to 140 centimeters, but when closed it shrinks to only 63 centimeters in length for attaching to a backpack. Taraxacum is for all intents and purposes the children’s version of Cardamine, adjustable from 85 to 110 centimeters to accompany children’s growth, with the innovative CamLock locking system generally reserved for top-of-the-line poles.

Artemisia, on the other hand, is Cober’s new fast hiking pole, made with a combination of Ergal tubing, a lighter aluminum alloy for equal strength, and Alu 5083, for a total weight of only 247 grams. Three-piece construction with the innovative CamLock closure allows for a range of travel from 100 to 135 centimeters. But the most noticeable innovation is in the new grip, made of the same comfortable foam used for trail running models, over a length of as much as 25 centimeters that offers the ability to quickly change the grip on the stick by adapting to different terrain situations. At the top, the knob ends with the traditional trekking beak to provide a firm and comfortable grip in combination with the soft neoprene loop.

All new models are available at specialty retailers and online at Cober’s website.
