Dynafit official sponsor of Sellaronda and Mezzalama

DynaFit confirms its leading role in the world of ski mountaineering as the main sponsor of Sellaronda Skimarathon and Trofeo Mezzalama  in 2023.

The two races will feature top athletes, including representatives of the DynaFit team. In addition, the company will be present with its team and will provide a dedicated fan area to support ski mountaineering and answer any questions about the discipline.

Sellaronda Skimarathon: nighttime adrenaline rush

The Sellaronda Skimarathon, one of the most adrenaline-pumping races in ski mountaineering, will start on March 31 at 6 p.m. in Arabba. The athletes, divided into teams of two men’s, women’s and mixed, will have to tackle 42 kilometers of trails across the Dolomite passes of Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and Pordoi, totaling 2,700 meters of positive elevation gain under the stars.

Mezzalama Trophy: extreme challenge among the peaks of Monte Rosa

The Mezzalama Trophy is a must-see event on the 2023 skimo race calendar. The competition will start in Breuil-Cervinia, where three-person teams will compete on a 45-kilometer course and more than 3,000 meters of positive elevation gain through the Monte Rosa massif, with steep climbs and sharp ridges. However, the real challenge of the race lies in the altitude, as the course repeatedly exceeds 4,000 meters, making the Mezzalama Trophy the highest ski mountaineering race in the world.

Set up mezzalama

Dynafit has created a new set-up for competitive ski mountaineering called Mezzalama, consisting of boots, skis, binding and crampons. Mezzalama boots, made of carbon and fiberglass reinforced Grilamid, are lightweight and rigid, with a Race Lock system for quick opening and closing and Twist Fit for a good heel and ankle hold. Mezzalama skis, with cap sidewalls near the tip and tail, are stable and lightweight thanks to the Paulonia wood Race core and fiberglass and carbon fiber stringers. The Mezzalama+ binding is lightweight and sturdy, adjustable from DIN 5 to 10, and has a Low Tech Race stopper for ascent and descent mode. Finally, Mezzalama crampons are automatic, lightweight and comply with ISMF regulations.
