With the Antimatter Series, Armada introduces a new interpretation of modern freeride, developed in close collaboration with athletes who embody its philosophy: solid technique, creative approach, and a strong aesthetic component in interpreting the mountain. At the heart of the project is the collaboration with Max Palm, one of the most interesting names in contemporary freeride, capable of combining alpine background and freestyle sensitivity into a personal and recognizable style.
The Antimatter range, available in both men’s and women’s versions, covers waist widths from 75 to 114 mm and is based on a well-calibrated balance between stability and playfulness. Freestyle-inspired camber profiles combine with slightly directional geometry and differentiated hybrid metal constructions, creating skis designed to handle high speeds and complex terrains without losing intuitiveness, pop, and freedom of interpretation.
The reference model is the Antimatter 114, Palm’s signature and the core of the project. Designed to move naturally between big challenging lines and smoother, surf-like sections, the 114 reflects the skiing style of the Swedish-French athlete: composed and reliable when the terrain gets serious, but ready to become playful when space allows. A clear vision, which according to Armada required more fine-tuning than a real design overhaul.
The same DNA is expressed in the Antimatter 100, a true all-mountain freeride built to perform best on hard snow and variable conditions. The contribution of skiers with a strong technical imprint like Todd Ligare and Anne Hjorleifson was crucial in finding the right compromise between precision, stability, and liveliness, maintaining a ski capable of varying turn arc and response immediately. The model is offered with dedicated men’s and women’s graphics.
From a construction standpoint, all Antimatter skis use Speedmetal, a tapered and calibrated metal layer that increases stability and damping without compromising rebound. Tips and tails are designed to work effectively on deep and uneven snow: a multi-radius tip with contained rocker preserves effective length and control, while a straighter and more supportive tail favors high-speed tracking, yet remains ready to release the turn and slash.
In a freeride increasingly oriented towards pure performance, the Antimatter Series also brings back the joy of skiing. Control and freedom find a balance here, designed for those who see the mountain as a space for expression, as well as a challenge.
