Waterproof, record-breaking breathability, and just 150g for the new Intense Pro 3L.

In high-level trail running, protective gear often comes down to millimeter-thin details: a shell’s ability to block driving rain without turning into a sauna, and the speed at which you can put it on or adjust it mid-run. During the UTMB race days in Chamonix, Millet gave a preview of the Intense Pro 3L jacket, a three-layer shell approved for the toughest competitions that aims to set new performance standards in the summer outdoor market.

The heart of this innovation lies in a true structural breakthrough: a central magnetic closure. Designed to let you open, close, or adjust the garment in a single immediate gesture—even with one hand or under intense effort—the magnetic solution simplifies direct access to hydration vests and eliminates the hesitation that traditionally comes with temperature changes during a race. The shell’s engineering is completed by a contoured rear gusset, specifically designed to cover and protect the trail pack by wearing it directly under the jacket without compromising the fit.

In terms of technical data, the three-layer laminated fabric guarantees category-leading values: 30,000 Schmerber waterproofing alongside 60,000 g/m²/24h breathability, ideal for instantly expelling heat generated during high-intensity efforts. Despite its total protection features, the shell maintains a minimalist approach with a featherweight of just 150g and a packable construction that allows the entire garment to be folded into the mesh pocket integrated into the hood.

The new Intense Pro 3L thus positions itself as the ultimate ally for those tackling long distances in the mountains, blending the historic expertise of the Chamonix-based brand with a contemporary and highly functional vision of alpine trail running.
