Every issue of The Pill is born from a journey. Sometimes it takes us far away, other times it makes us look with new eyes at places, people, and stories that deserve to be told. Issue 77 is no exception. We entered the heart of unique races like the Lavaredo Ultra Trail or the Western States, with Francesco Puppi. Following Hervé Barmasse in the story of Endurance Italia and accompanying Nadir Maguet on his second record attempt on the Matterhorn, you realize what perseverance is. From the high mountains, we then took off with Aaron Durogati, protagonist of a new record in hike & fly, to finally return to a question as simple as it is universal: what does running really mean? Answering are Cesare Maestri and Stefano Joker Lionetti, with two different perspectives but united by the same passion, told by the Mont Blanc project.
The journey continues with those who live the outdoors every day. We met Michele Meridio, who told us about the dream of his first 100 kilometers, faced the cold together with Gabriele Arduini and paddled along the Po, rediscovering the river from a new point of view. We then moved to Chamonix to experience the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy. As always, there is no shortage of new product tests, tried in the field to tell you about them with the honesty and attention that accompany us in every outing.
The Pill 77 is ready to be read or, better yet, to be lived. See you on the trails.
