Wild Expeditions Liguria 2026 is the new project launched by OutBe that proposes an exploration model radically different from the traditional one. The expedition will start on February 26, 2026, and will unfold over an entire year, crossing Liguria from the coast to the hinterland with a total route of 440 kilometers by land, 20 kilometers by river, and 170 miles by sea, touching nine protected natural areas. The project was born with the aim of promoting regenerative outdoor activities, capable of generating real benefits for people and ecosystems. Over twelve months and thirty stages, the expedition will pass through parks, marine protected areas, villages, and local communities, alternating practices such as hiking, ski touring, biking, kayaking, packrafting, SUP, swimming, and coasteering. The choice to extend the experience across all seasons aims to demonstrate that nature can be experienced every day, moving beyond the logic of occasional excursions and concentrated tourism.
This is not a sporting challenge or a search for performance. It is an open and inclusive invitation to rediscover the territory as a daily habitat, putting slowness, accessibility, and relationships at the center. The project will be carried out independently by Luca Tixi, founder of OutBe, but will involve institutions, research bodies, businesses, and citizens in a collective narrative that intertwines the outdoors, culture, and sustainability. A central element is the Impact Area, a team dedicated to measuring the effects of regenerative outdoor activities on people and ecosystems, in collaboration with the CNR and the University of Genoa. Alongside the action in the field, Wild Expeditions will also become an editorial and audiovisual project, with photo and video content and a final documentary film that will tell how adventure can be close, accessible, and deeply transformative.
