It’s the energy of the Skimofestival, the first event in Italy to transform ski mountaineering from a solitary activity into a grand collective celebration. After the overwhelming success of 2025, which saw over 900 participants flock to the Valtellina peaks, the festival is set to return from March 6 to 8, 2026, in Santa Caterina Valfurva. The format evolves once again: three days entirely open to the public (B2C) to test the most innovative equipment, learn from Alpine Guides, and experience the mountains authentically, amidst the powder and sun of the Valle dei Forni. Whether it’s your first time with skins or you’re a seasoned pro at kick turns, Skimofestival has a route tailored for you: here are the different options. <\/p>

From modules on using the ARTVA to managing risk in snowy environments, the festival emphasizes that mountain freedom always goes hand in hand with technical preparation. Even the logistics are getting an upgrade. The new Village in La Fonte will be the event’s hub, with direct access to the lifts making product testing quicker and more dynamic. And for those looking for a break, the Skimo Palace is born: a heated tent designed for changing boots, relaxing, and exchanging ideas between enthusiasts and brands.
