Club Sandwich, the editorial project by Matt Georges and Perly

If you have never heard of Club Sandwich, the question is only one: what planet have you lived on lately? And no, we are obviously not talking about the famous American gourmand sandwich! However, do not despair, we’re here to save you from oblivion.

Club Sandwich is the latest editorial effort of French photographers Matt Georges and Perly. A totally independent and non-profit project in the form of a limited edition box, shipped directly to your home, which contains five different fanzines featuring the best of the snowboarding world. The original concept was to show five different riding styles shot by five different photographers, each with their own individuality and originality. In short, a sort of multilayer version of the famous sandwich mentioned above but in a snowboarding key, a gift for all fans of this discipline, of art, design and photography.

The first volume of Club Sandwich saw the light in January 2020, in a limited edition box of 500 pieces, in A5 format and with 330 total pages. A real hymn to creativity that has given every artist the opportunity to create and include everything they thought could be appropriate in the page count, from photos to art to design. A choral work of the strongest photographers of the scene.

The first edition saw in its pages Andrew Miller and his powder photos, a real black and white essay with curves, lines and natural hits. Rip Zinger with his snow surfing shots, very colorful but quiet at the same time. Cole Navin decided to show the work done for Vans Landline and Together Forever. Perly, co-founder of the project, with his street photos, and finally the mind behind Club Sandwich, Matt Georges, who decided to immortalize a dry slope in the UK rode by two local riders.

The aim was precisely to show how much diversity there is in snowboarding and the idea was so successful that the following year a second volume was released, always following the same “multi-ingredient” form and then also a third, which has  just been published in 500 pieces, most of which are already sold out. So if you wish to have in your hands the shots of the most important photographers of the scene, you have to hurry! Inside the box you will find zines, posters, stickers and postcards resulting from the work of Silvano Zeiter, Aaron Schwartz, Sean Kerrick Sullivan, Jake Price, Perly, Marc O’Malley, Jake Durham, Matt Georges, Vince Pagés, Arthur Longo.
