Komoot still Official Route Partner of the Giro d’Italia

Komoot is the official partner of the Giro d’Italia for the second year in a row and has created two Route Collections for cycling fans around the world.

Riders will not only be able to save the official stages of the race and use them for navigation, but also find inspiration through a selection of cycling routes in the regions hosting the Giro, allowing users to discover the beauty and diversity of Italy.

The Grand Departure will take place on May 6 on the Trabocchi Coast in Abruzzo, while the arrival will be in Rome for May 28. The 106th edition of the Giro crosses 17 out of 21 Italian regions, covering 3,500 kilometers with more than 51,000 meters of positive elevation gain.

Thanks to komoot, any route can be downloaded to your phone for offline navigation or synchronized with a GPS device, with the attached ability to change the start and end point to your liking. In addition, RCS has created a Collection containing the 21 official stages of the Giro d’Italia, enabling fans to follow the race in great detail.

Komoot is the only digital platform that allows users to view the route of each stage and examine meter by meter the road the riders will face each day. Therefore, its collaboration with the Giro d’Italia shows that the platform is a leader in finding inspiration and quality cycling routes.

“We are proud to collaborate with RCS and share their cycling routes, but also to give cycling fans a unique opportunity to study the route that will make this edition of the Giro unforgettable,” said Andrea Girlanda, komoot’s community manager for Italy.
