La Sportiva opens the first mono-brand store in Germany
The Trentino company arrives in Frankenjura, a historic area for rock climbing.
La Sportiva continues its international growth: on 20 March 2022 it inaugurated a store in Frenkenjura. It was in this area of reference for climbing in the 1970s that the German climber Kurt Albert cleared the “Red Point” style of climbing. Discipline has thus become an experience of a mental rather than a physical nature.
“Being present in Frankenjura is a source of pride for us” comments Andrea Bonetto, Retail Manager of La Sportiva. “When we have to identify new locations in which open a store, the choice is based above all on the attractiveness that the place holds for enthusiasts. The Frankenjura area is a reference for all climbers, as well as one of the most fascinating areas in Europe“.
Hannes Oelher, Area Manager Germany states: “Our main aim is to ensure optimal service, offering what they need to enjoy mountain adventures in the best possible way and safely. But it is also much more: brand stores are a place to communicate in an impactful way, as well as an opportunity to get in touch with the communities of climbers, runners and mountaineers “.
In the shop there are numerous garments and footwear for the disciplines that La Sportiva deals with: climbing, mountain running, mountaineering and trekking.
The store is located inside the Blockhelden Frankenjura gym. “In our gym we want to offer an unforgettable climbing experience, and this goes through the offer of technical equipment that ensures comfort and safety” says Simon Brünner, founder of Blockhelden. “Having La Sportiva as a partner for our reality will be an added value for all those who choose our gym”.
The shop and gym are located at Kurt Albert Strasse 1, in the municipality of Bubenreuth, at the foot of the Franconian Jura.
