Lange RS, new blue new blood

A new shade of blue to keep coloring the victories of the greatest

Lange is a brand synonymous in victory and innovation, which invented the plastic boot in 1965 and first decided to test boots in the wind tunnel. Always at the feet of skiing’s greatest, no detail can be left to chance, not even color. Like red in motor racing, Lange’s famous blue brings to mind the achievements of the great champion Alberto Tomba. In fact, the color choice dates back to 1996 and was intimately linked to the graphic identity of Barilla, the Bolognese man’s sponsor. Since then, blue has colored Lange RS boots, which have become the indispensable ingredient for victory.

Starting this season, however, the RS hue changes: new blue, new blood. In 2022 Lange churns out a midnight blue that can express the packed technology of the new RS range. The new blue is the result of extensive research and development work to make sure that, depending on the color of the product, temperatures and snow quality do not impact its characteristics.

But the technological heart of RS is called Dual Core. This technology, conceived in 2016 by Lange’s team of engineers and bootfitters and characterized by a process of co-injecting plastic materials with different stiffnesses through three points on the boot’s hull and two more on the cuff, allows for extremely precise and strategic modulation of the flex and rear support, which are soft in some areas and harder in others. The energy created thus develops unprecedented power, response and elasticity.

Lange World Cup RS is worn by Clément Noël and Federica Brignone, but there is not only the model for professional athletes. The entire RS line takes advantage of World Cup know-how to put it at the disposal of top skiers.
