Loved by All-The Story of Apa Sherpa

Sherpas Cinema and Thule present the beautiful short film “Loved by All – The Story of Apa Sherpa” following the numerous awards and prizes obtained at various international film festivals. The short film traces the life of this twelve years old boy who has to walk six hours every day to get to school and who had to leave his dream of becoming a doctor following the loss of his father and found himself having to face a life as a sherpa to help his family in the Khumbu region of Nepal. He holds an amazing record: he has climbed Mount Everest 21 times. Fate all too common for the young Nepalese, who find themselves having to leave their dreams, dreams that can only be achieved through education and knowledge. This is why Apa is trying to change the future of these kids through its Apa Sherpa Foundation.
