Mammut Albula Jacket Test

Mammut Albula Jacket Test

An uncompromising jacket.

We Like An uncompromising jacket.

Uso Hiking, trekking, approach

There’s always something to compromise with, but not for this jacket. The Mammut Albula jacket could appear as an urban or casual piece of wear, but after a closer look, a number of highly technical features catch the eye. Those make it the perfect garment for our mountain adventures. The aspect we liked the most is the 10.000g/m2/24h moisture permeability, combined with a water column of 10.000mm, in addition to a lightweight, soft, elastic and compressible material. Wether there’s rain or wind, with this jacket you will be relaxed.

On top of these features there’s another fundamental aspect, the respect for the environment. This jacket is made of 100% recycled polyester, dyed with a dope-dye environmental friendly method. The hydro-repellent layer is also PFC free. This does not mean it lacks the fundamental characteristics of a good jacket: adjustable hood with a semi-rigid visor that protects your face even under heavy rain, a high neck that doesn’t bother your neck’s skin and some conveniente and easily accessible pockets. Lastly, on the wrists, there’s a handy regulation strap. Once compressed this jacket takes up very little space allowing us to always carry it without even having to think about it. And to make an “offline product” and “online product” the Mammut Connect technology could not be left out.
