MARKUS EDER and Arianna Tricomi’S TRIUMPH AT FREERIDE WORLD TOUR 2019
“Le grand finale” is the claim that anticipated the last stage of the Freeride World Tour a Verbier, a good omen for Markus Eder, the Vibram athlete who won a deserved victory for the 2019 edition.
Undefeated in the ranking since the first stage, with his performance Markus obtained the score of 82.66 – sixth in the partial ranking – which decreed his triumph.

Some skiing at home, with friends, did me good and I felt better ” then he added ” As soon as I arrived in Verbier, a few days ago, I spent a sunrise at the top alone. A moment that allowed me to analyze the situation calmly. On the eve of the race I was really scared and paranoid of being able to make mistakes, despite the odds were in my favor. After the descent of Kristofer they warned me that, with his second placement, I had automatically won. I started crying like a baby! And so in my run I could only concentrate on the back flip “.
A day of great adrenaline for the South Tyrolean athlete, who achieved his seasonal goal, after the podiums of Hakuba (Japan), Kicking Horse Golden BC (Canada) and Fieberbrunn (Austria), concluding a memorable edition.

In the final ranking, followed by the second-placed Swedish Markus Kristofer Turdell, and the French Leo Slemett, in third place.
A “grand final” also for the Italian Arianna Tricomi, who won the title of Freeride World Tour 2019 champion in the women ski category. In the final standings, the American Jacqueline Pollard and the Swiss Elisabeth Gerritzen took second place.
The men’s snow competition was won by the French Victor De Le Rue, followed by the Americans Davey Baird and Blake Hamm, second and third respectively. In the women’s race, the French Marion Haerty is ranked in the order, followed by the Russian Anna Orlova and the Austrian Manuela Mandl.
