Officially born in 1933 on Rutor glacier in La Thuile, Tour du Rutor has then find its permanent location in the heart of Valgrisenche. After some years of stop, the rebirth of Tour du Rutor occured in 1995 thanks to the determination of Corrado Gex Ski Club of Arvier and to the passion of some youngs fond of ski mountaineering. The last edition in 2018 had a huge success: more than 700 racers coming from 18 different nations, divided into 300 male teams, 22 female teams and 30 young teams.
