New Balance Presents the new Fuelcell collection
The world leader in athletics, New Balance, renews its revolutionary FuelCell product platform with new models created to enhance every runner’s run.
Working closely with its athletes, the Boston brand began working in 2017 on a line of running shoes equipped with a multidirectional carbon fiber plate, designed to flex and guide the movement of the foot, allowing greater propulsion when pushing.
In 2020 New Balance launched a collection of shoes for road and track use, designed and engineered to offer a faster and more efficient running experience, allowing its athletes to compete at the highest levels.
The new FuelCell silhouettes have been thoroughly tested and approved by New Balance athletes, the brand’s Sports Research Lab and leading sports research partners and will be worn by more than 30 athletes during the most important competitions scheduled for 2020.
The star of 2020 is the FuelCell TC!
Designed as a shoe for both training and competition, to meet the needs of every runner, the newborn New Balance has a fierce character and guarantees exceptional durability and speed. The FuelCell technology in the midsole guarantees the highest energy return of all New Balance shoes/technology. TC includes a multi-layered carbon fibre sheet inside the midsole, placed along the entire length of the foot; positioned at an angle, closer to the foot in the heel and adjacent to the ground in the forefoot, to maximise propulsion.
The FuelCell TC offers a softer outsole than the 1400 series, with significantly higher energy return. Light and minimalist, the outsole is designed to balance durability with maximum traction in all race conditions. The upper, designed to minimize the weight of the shoe, features a mesh construction and a soft, breathable suede collar. The shoe is completed by the NB logo printed on the forefoot.
