New partnership between PrimaLoft, Inc. and Fiberpartner

PrimaLoft, Inc., a global leader in advanced materials technology solutions, announced a partnership agreement with Fiberpartner, a global supplier of staple fibers, technical yarns and plastics.

This new license agreement allows Fiberpartner to develop the use of the revolutionary PrimaLoft Bio TM technology in many new areas.

Thomas Wittrup, CEO of Fiberpartner, says: “We see a growing demand for biodegradable polyester and consider the PrimaLoft technology a revolutionary breakthrough. Staple fibres produced with PrimaLoft Bio TM will be developed by Fiberpartner to integrate regular polyester fibre in a wide variety of applications. Together, we can begin the journey to a more sustainable world.”

PrimaLoft Bio TM is made of 100% biodegradable recycled fibers, which “break” when exposed to specific environments such as landfills, oceans and wastewater systems. PrimaLoft BioTM improves the fibers to be more attractive to the microbes present in nature in these environments; by doing so, the fibers break down at a higher speed, returning the polyester to nature. These fibers retain their original structure during use, biodegrading * when exposed to naturally occurring microorganisms in landfills or marine environments.
