The leading company in the backpacks field, Osprey Pack Inc. completes the acquisition of Osprey Europe Ltd., to date the first brand of backpacks, operating in 30 countries. Founded by Rob Wylie in 2003, who after 16 years of activity, stated that he will leave the company by the end of March 2019, giving way to Jonathan Petty, Marketing Director, who will replace him in the role of Managing Director for Europe.

Following the announcement of Jonathan Petty as the new Managing Director of Europe, Layne Rigney said: “I am pleased to assign this position to Jonathan, who brings over 20 years of experience in the Outdoor industry. Petty has been very successful as a commercial agent in companies such as Patagonia, Salomon, Montane and as Marketing Director has positively transformed the marketing of Osprey Europe in the last two years. I am confident that Jonathan, together with our talented team management, will continue to drive our business towards the future. Rob and Jonathan will work together in this transition period in the coming months,
with Jonathan who will start with the professional role from the 1st of April 2019 “.
