Online the new website of Vasentiero: walk, discover and more

Walk, discover and… share. After 7 months of shipping and work in the field, the guys at Va’ Sentiero make available to the public all the documentation collected on the new website vasentiero: a free digital guide on the Sentiero Italia, for a total of over 3,500 km reviewed, stage by stage.

A practical tool to promote conscious tourism in the inland areas of the country, which takes on a symbolic meaning in the post-lockdown period.

If you wanted to plan an excursion on the longest trekking in the world, where would you look for inspiration and study your itinerary? From today you can do it for free on vasentiero, the new website where technical data, maps with points of interest, videos, experiential advice and logistical details are collected for 179 stages and 3,500 km (per hour) of the Sentiero Italia.

The guide is the result of the experience in the field and the intense work of the Va’ Sentiero association’s youngsters, who have been involved for about a year in walking the entire Sentiero Italia, the red line between the Italian high lands which (with its 7,000 km) boasts the longest trekking title in the world and connects the Alps and the Apennines, crossing 20 regions and over 350 small mountain villages.
However, this is not a Guinness World Heritage Site; Va’ Sentiero is in fact a social initiative based on the idea of sharing, with the aim of enhancing the environmental, cultural and social heritage of the Italian high lands, often forgotten – from landscapes to cuisine, from faces to dialects, all under the banner of sustainable tourism.
