Ortovox launches new Far & Light collection
A line of ultra-lightweight garments, under the banner of essentiality, made to perform best on the most treacherous terrains.
Far & Light outfits not only save us weight but also help us focus on the essentials. Their featherweight allows the load carried to be reduced, so the eye can wander undisturbed among the peaks of the alpine landscape and the mind can rest and focus fully on the next step. At the same time, the items in the Far & Light collection, as well as the entire 2023 summer collection, are carbon neutral. This is to ensure another “essential” aspect, which is the preservation of the Alps, and also to enable future generations to push themselves to high altitudes and find themselves climbing mountains.
Traverse light backpack
Lightweight, versatile and functional, weighing just 380g, the Traverse Light 15 backpack is designed for longer climbs at speed. Through a simple gesture, the shoulder straps, equipped with three useful pockets, can be tightened, making the backpack fit snugly against the body. With mesh and perforated foam, the Airvent Back System allows good air circulation, maximizing comfort and ergonomics. Helmet and poles can be attached to the backpack in a snap. The Traverse Light backpack is also available in a 20l variant.
Ladiz hybrid jacket
A versatile jacket, so versatile that it can be used both as an insulating midlayer and as a protective outer layer, with a marked athletic cut and so light that it is almost unnoticeable. Made of Merino Fleece Light Grid, a soft, breathable material with waffle texture on the inside that leaves a pleasant feel on the skin. The front, i.e., the torso, shoulders, and hood are made of windproof Tec- Stretch to best follow every movement and keep the headwind from penetrating. When not being worn, the Ladiz Hybrid Jacket is easy to compact and takes up very little space: pure minimalism for those who live the sporty side of mountaineering.
Windbreaker jacket
An ergonomic windbreaker made in the front, back and underarms of Merino Protect, a material that is breathable, windproof and can regulate moisture to keep you dry at all times. The sleeves, side inserts and hood are made of ultralight Tec-Stretch material to perfectly accompany every movement. Water-repellent, PFC-free DWR treatment protects against light rain. The jacket can be compacted inside the chest pocket.
