Petzl SPIRIT 30th Birthday Special Edition

Petzl SPIRIT 30th Birthday Special Edition

Ergonomic, handy, even lighter and colorful, the Petzl SPIRIT carabiner is an item to use and collect.

In 1993 Petzl launched the first version of its SPIRIT carabiner, whose name was directly inspired by the pioneering spirit of early 20th century aviators and in particular, Charles Lindbergh and his famous Spirit of Saint Louis plane.

A revolutionary and innovative tool in many areas, over the past three decades this carabiner has become one of Petzl’s signature products.

The ergonomic design ensures the best possible handling and ease in clipping and un-clipping, thanks in part to the curved lever model that simplifies rope insertion and, of course, the famous Keylock system that prevents inadvertent hooking to the anchor or rope.

With the third version, users will find all these features and some new features for even more pleasant and efficient use. Each carabiner is, in fact, equipped with three holes, a sign of maximum weight optimization and an innovative aesthetic element.

The shape of the beak has been reworked to give it an even gentler curvature, making it easy to remove the carabiner. The flat area on the lever has also evolved to further improve docking ergonomics.

Finally, the curved lever version is offered in six different colors (gray, purple, green, red, yellow or blue), available individually or in packs of six.

SPIRIT will also continue to be available as a complete SPIRIT EXPRESS quickdraw, in three webbing lengths (11, 17 and now 25 cm) and in one color (gray straight lever carabiner, orange curved lever carabiner, black webbing).

All versions of SPIRIT and SPIRIT EXPRESS will be in stores starting in March.
