Poly, the new project by Silvano Zeiter

Poly, the new project by Silvano Zeiter

Three flip books to bring together a unique collection of shots and images that take the viewer straight into the world of snowboarding.

After the film Chroma, made in collaboration with Severin van Der Meer, Silvano Zeiter returns to add a new level of complexity to a work that, thanks to photos, videos and specially composed music, has already marked a new page in sports photography.

With Poly, the new photographic project, Zeiter divides some of the most striking shots from the film into three flip books. Silvano’s slow shooting aims to make the viewer part of the action itself, allowing him to understand even better not only the movement of the snowboarders, but especially that of the photographer.
The three flip books contain edited sequences that can be put into action by the spectators themselves through the crank of the polyscopes holding them up. It is a playful experience, which involves the spectators and allows them to be decisive in the execution of the work.

The work was designed by Swiss art director Boris Stoll, already involved in the Chroma project, who in this case was responsible for the design and creation of both the books and the box containing them.
Poly is available in a limited edition of 333 copies the you can buy on this website.
