Rab and Lowe Alpine extend partnership with The Outward Bound Trust

Equip Outdoor Technologies, the company that operates Rab and Lowe Alpine, has reconfirmed the partnership to reinforce its commitment to inspiring young people to experience the outdoors.

The partnership between Equip and educational charity Outward Bound has been extended for two years. The aim is to increasingly introduce young people to the outdoors, offering engaging experiences in nature while educating them on how to act responsibly and sustainably in natural spaces.

Rab and Lowe Alpine have already set about realizing this vision, supporting the David Nieper Academy in Alfreton, Derbyshire (where the brands’ headquarter is located) with a multi-day Outward Bound course for 48 students in each year of the partnership.

A key part of the initiative is to involve employees, who have the opportunity to volunteer to become Outward Bound Employee Ambassadors, mentoring and supporting the participants’ learning.

Debbie Read, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR at Equip, explains: “We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting The Outward Bound Trust and the work that they do. Feeling confident in the outdoors, while maintaining that sense of awe-inspiring adventure is something we as a brand believe to our very core. We hope by continuing to support students from David Nieper Academy each year, that we will help a new generation of young adults discover their own love and respect for nature, and that they use these courses to develop and grow as individuals.”
