Under Armour’s latest technological innovation: the RUSH line

Under Armour Rush is an innovative fabric, which recycles the body’s energy during sports performance. Since revolutionizing the sportswear market in 1996, by introducing the first breathable fabrics, Under Armour is once again changing the rules of the game by presenting reactive and technological fabrics, scientifically designed to improve performance.

The American brand takes care of the training of an athlete at 360 degrees, helping him reach his full potential: there are other important moments, besides training, sweat and competition. Under Armour, in fact, also considers moments of rest and recovery fundamental and it designs some dedicated lines, for example the Athlete Recovery Sleepwear with TB12 technology, developed in collaboration with six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. The collection, launched in 2018, was developed in collaboration with Celliant, the leading technology supplier in the sector. The garments are designed to be worn after an intense workout, to speed up the recovery process and get it started much earlier than normal physiological functions.

In 2019, Under Armour is joining forces again with Celliant to create Rush, a fabric rich in minerals, designed to improve performance, providing athletes with additional support, reusing body energy during the performance.

Rush aims to provide the same benefits to the body of an infrared sauna. The minerals found naturally in the earth are extracted and broken down into active particles, which are then combined together to form a mixture. The compound is then combined with the knitted fibers, creating high-performance fabrics that form the basis of the Under Armour Rush collection.

During performance, the body emits heat. Rush fabric is reactive, so it absorbs heat and converts it into energy that is put back into the body. This recycled energy increases temporary localized circulation, improving performance, energy and recovery. Once worn, Rush stimulates greater strength and power.

The introduction of this new line is 360 degree support, which Under Armour is committed to providing athletes as part of its mission. With the launch of Rush, we now complete the training cycle. There is an Under Armour gear designed to optimize performance in every workout” tells Dan Leraris, General Manager Men’s Training Under Armour.

Under Armour’s athletes trained wearing the Rush line in their most important moments. The activewear brand has built a storytelling on the training experiences of some of the most famous athletes in the world – Stephen Curry, three-time NBA champion and twice MVP; Kelley O’Hara, soccer world champion; and Anthony Joshua, world heavyweight champion – which will be released as a documentary this summer.

Rush line includes close-fitting t-shirts for men and women, long-sleeved sweaters, leggings and tights and a sports bra for women, available from April 11th 2019 on UA.com, in Brand Houses worldwide and in selected global retailers .
