Salewa: SS21 collection preview

Salewa: SS21 collection preview

At the Oberalp Virtual Convention, Salewa unveiled the main product previews for the SS21 season. Innovative hemp technology for the new Train-to-Climb category. The evolution of Salewa’s best-selling hiking boot. And a new backpack with Dry Back technology for modern hikers.

Alp Trainer 2 Mid Gtx

For the 2021 season, Salewa has redesigned one of the most successful hiking and trekking models of the South Tyrolean brand, appreciated over the years for its lightness and agility. The result is the new Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX, a stable and protective boot that integrates technical solutions from sole to cuff to adapt to the variable alpine terrain and offer a precise and comfortable fit.

Alpine Hemp

Hemp is a resistant, comfortable, thermoregulating, breathable and naturally antibacterial fibre with a fast growing cycle with low environmental impact. It is not surprising that, thanks to technical and sustainability credentials, the use of this fibre has recently been rediscovered to create functional and innovative fabrics. For the 2021 summer season, Salewa presents Alpine Hemp, a new collection of clothing products developed around the engineering of textile hemp with recycled polyester yarns, organic cotton and elastane to create an exclusive range of ripstop and jersey fabrics.

Alp Mate

The new hiking backpack from the South Tyrolean brand of technical mountain equipment has been developed for sporty hikers. The Alp Mate is equipped with Salewa’s proprietary Dry Back Air system which reduces the contact surface area to the necessary minimum and promotes maximum air circulation on the back. The classic, compact design and split shoulder straps offer superior carrying comfort and easy access to equipment. Available from summer 2021.
