SCARPA chooses Sardinia for AthLet’s Meet
SCARPA chose Sardinia as the location for its annual event, theAthLet’s Meet. This meeting brings together the world’s top Trail Running athletes for four days of sport and education.
From April 4 to 7, Cala Gonone will be the perfect setting to host the thirty athletes of Team SCARPA, including champions Manuel Merillas and Antonio Martinez Perez, authors last year of a historic one-two on the podium of the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix. Women’s Trail Running star Anna Comet Pascua, who became legendary for her victory at the Marathon des Sables, will also participate in the event.
Overseeing the team’s work will be SCARPA brand manager Marco De Gasperi, a champion mountain runner. Athletes will train among the picturesque scenery of the Gulf, but they will also be engaged in team-building and meetings with SCARPA executives, laying the groundwork for the start of the new competitive season. They will also have the opportunity to discover the variety of the area’s naturalistic offerings through hiking and fishing and caving activities.
SCARPA’sAthLet’s Meet will therefore be an opportunity to introduce the world to the incredible beauty and endless opportunities that Sardinia has to offer.
