SCARPA: Explosive growth in 2022 and focus on innovation

SCARPA announced its 2022 consolidated budget results, confirming its successful position in the industry.

With sales of 169 million euros, up 26 percent from the previous year, SCARPA continues to distinguish itself as a brand of choice for outdoor enthusiasts. The company’s profitability also showed significant improvement, with Ebitda of 21.5 million, up from 18.8 million in 2021. This represents a significant 12.7 percent of total sales.

These numbers make us particularly satisfied and confirm the expansion trend observed in recent years, which has led SCARPA to double its revenues within seven years,” emphasizes President Sandro Parisotto. “In 2018 we gave a managerial turn to the company, appointing Diego Bolzonello as CEO, a leading figure capable of accompanying the company toward a new organizational structure adequate to support the growth underway. Now we are ready to look ahead, aware of the complexities that the market will face in the coming years: problems in the supply of raw materials and difficulties related to production capacity and logistics are still a heavy legacy of the pandemic for the whole industry, but in this context we intend to continue with our strategy based on some fundamental pillars such as quality, performance, durability of products, and innovation.”

Despite uncertainties related to international tensions, SCARPA has maintained its policy of investing in research and development, which has always been one of the company’s hallmarks. Over the past year, more than 6 million euros have been invested in this area. In addition, SCARPA has devoted considerable resources to the modernization of the production facilities located in Italy, Serbia and Romania, as well as to the upgrading of facilities and equipment, with a total amount of 5.5 million euros.

During 2022, SCARPA also solidified its commitment to the environment, a core value for the company. In fact, it has launched the LIFE Re-Shoes project, which aims to provide an alternative, circular and sustainable solution for “end-of-life” shoe management by introducing recycling practices as a new standard within the shoe industry.
