SCARPA ON THE UTMB WOMEN PODIUM

SCARPA at UTMB 2018 at the feet of the champions Francesca Canepa and Uxue Farile Azpeitia, respectively in first and in second place.

SCARPA celebrates the winners of this edition of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc 2018 that has just ended: Francesca Canepa, that with a time of 26:03:48 is the first Italian woman in history to win the UTMB, and Uxue Fraile Azpeitia, a Basque athlete (Trailrunning Team Vibram) who earned the second place just a few minutes away, both the two women run on SCARPA models from the Alpine Running line.

Francesca Canepa, the very first Italian woman to climb on the top step of the UTMB podium, run with the Spin model, a light, stable and flexible shoe perfect for a reactive and dynamic off-road race. The “warrior” Uxue Fraile Azpeitia crossed the finish line in second place, wearing the Spin RS model, the only model for trail running up to date on the market equipped with the latest novelty developed by Vibram, historic partner of SCARPA, the Litebase technology.

From the whole company, congratulations to the two very strong athletes who choose SCARPA shoes for their phenomenal results!
