Soles by Michelin: grip matters also in summer

A summer wearing Michelin: not to renounce to comfort and performance at the sea, in the mountains and during all outdoor activities.

Soles by Michelin, the project that creates high performance soles with an exceptional grip, makes a constant selection of its partners. Its technical soles are a product of excellence. They are included in the collections of top-of-the-range footwear, and guarantee the final consumer a high-performance product.

The collaboration with Camper is fusion of style: a unique partnership, begun with a unisex collection. The co-design Michelin – Majorcan company has led to the development of models from the urban style: Rolling model and Ergo model. To satisfy trekking and hiking enthusiasts, the Bibendum company has developed soles for Mammut, the leading brand for mountain footwear and hiking. The saentis knit low model is the perfect result of this solid growing collaboration, project after project. For Orvis, leading American brand in the fly fishing segment, Soles by Michelin has developed an ideal sole for outdoor activities and adventure. From this dynamic and exclusive partnership was born the PRO Wading Boot.

CAMPER – ROLLING

Grip and duration: the Spanish and French brands have decided to apply their experience in creating a special sneaker. A modern hybrid design with technical uppers: the Rolling model by Camper, with Michelin sole, is a perfect mix of innovation, comfort and urban style. Inspired byMICHELIN® Pilot tyres, the sole ensures a very high grip on both wet and dry ground. Its design has a large area of contact with the surface to ensure excellent adhesion to the ground. In addition, the grooves improve the adaptability and flexibility of the shoe, while the design details are designed to ensure superior strength.

CAMPER – ERGO

The Ergo model, with its sporty, simple and informal look, is comfortable, resistant and breathable. The upper is made of leather, while the insole is made of fabric and guarantees absolute breathability and a correct fit. The rubber sole, developed by Soles by Michelin, is characterized by a unique design, studied in detail to improve grip. The design, inspired by the Michelin Pilot tyre, ensures stability and increases resistance. The grip of this lace-up shoe is assured, even in wet conditions.

MAMMUT – SAENTIS KNIT LOW

The Mammut Saentis Knit Low has been developed for a wide range of activities, from easy one-day speed oriented hikes to short trail running trips. The Michelin sole, engineered with for Mammut  and exclusively for it, draws inspiration from the mountain bike tyre Michelin Jet Xcr which is characterized by lightness and hollow dowels that improve the adaptability to the ground. This same design was reproduced on the sole to give the shoe stability and traction. Perfect fit ensured by the insert on the ankle that reproduces the construction of a sock. The seamless 3D Knit technology combines a wide range of properties of various fabrics and construction methods into a single material.

ORIVIS – PRO WADING BOOT

The Pro Wading Boot, designed for fishing, is durable and has an exceptional grip. The sole was developed by Michelin to ensure excellent traction even in wet conditions. Its design is inspired by the Michelin XM27 tyre and offers a wide contact surface for greater stability and better grip. The dowels are placed at a wide distance, to ensure a perfect self-cleaning, as design of the shoulder does. The Clarino microfiber upper guarantees fast drying and optimal resistance. The PU material then, removes seams in high-wear areas and increases resistance. The tip and heel areas are made of scratch-resistant rubber. The high-density Phylon midsole is perfect for shock absorption. Maximum comfort and support are also given by the X25 Ortholite insole. To get extra protection to the ankle the boot is higher. The laces are ultra-resistant and a tie on the heel facilitates the fit of the shoe.
