Test: ASICS Gel-Trabuco 10

Soft and safe for long distances

Gel-Trabuco 10 is a versatile shoe suitable for runners who need a stable and secure support. Overall, it is a very comfortable shoe, the Flytefoam midsole is generous and provides good cushioning over the entire surface, even the tongue is quite padded and wraps the foot. We found the upper to be comfortable, although a little too deconstructed on midfoot and forefoot, not so much for a matter of fit, but for the elasticity of the mesh. However, the upper protects well from stones, thanks to a structured toecap and a series of 3D details applied on the upper that reinforce the general structure. Gel-Trabuco 10 is especially designed for overpronators, thanks to the Gel antipronation buttress positioned as a shell on the heel. We tested the tenth version of Gel-Trabuco on the more technical trails of the Finale area, remaining very satisfied with the grip of the ASICSGRIP sole, designed with a very pronounced lugs and arranged in such a way as not to collect stones and avoid the creation of a clog in the presence of mud. We recommend it for runners over 75kg who are looking for a protective shoe, capable of sustaining support and being relia-ble even on the most technical and alpine trails
