If there is one thing that we’ve always appreciated in outdoor products it’s their versatility of use: it happens, in fact, to leave for a few days of hiking and climbing, but at the same time not wanting to look like we just got off K2 when we stop at the pub for a well deserved beer. This softshell by CMP, with its contrasting lasered pocket and red zip, is the perfect synthesis between technicality and aesthetics. A model that is ultra-light thanks to the Clima Protect microporous thermal laminate applied between the fabrics, a membrane that creates a real barrier against the elements: it features a 7000 WP waterproofing and a 3000 MVP breathability. Protection from water and wind breathability is guaranteed in this garment that is small in size and weight, always worth carrying with you when going to the mountains, regardless of the activity you intend to do. What we like so much in terms of design is the contrasting zip, recalled by the piping on the back, that is actually designed to increase comfort and functionality: the front zip with internal windproof and anti-chafing flap, fixed hood and two side pockets with zip. The brightly colored details are a very useful in the mountains to make yourself visible and recognizable even in poor visibility conditions. Noteworthy is the fabric with which the jacket is made which is water-repellent thanks to the PFC-free treatment, meaning those perfluorinated chemical compounds that have been recognized as carcinogenic to humans and harmful to the environment.

We Like: Aesthetics and functionality match perfectly in this lightweight softshell
