This approach has won us over, it must be said. The new boot from Dynafit features the Hoji Lock system, allowing the foot to move comfortably uphill while guaranteeing great rigidity downhill. The comfort, that you can appreciate by using skins, is given by the way in which the shell and cuff have been conceived and designed: when you make the classic switch in walking mode, the two components of the shoe are separated allowing you to climb with extreme agility. The low weight is particularly loved when the slope rears up, climbing the steeper couloirs. Even when inversions become more demanding, the high-tech materials of the tongue allow for an “energy-saving” walk, in order to have less effort. The firn is cool, you know, but enjoying powder without cursing at every turn is even better. The Radical Pro has shifted the thinking a little beyond the mediocre solution of the compeed, studying a thermoformable innerboot to achieve a perfect fit from the first timid gradients. Returning instead to the Hoji Lock mentioned above, it is enough for you to know that it is a patented system to be envied, based on the four magical words “one move to switch”. That’s right: from the uphill set-up it transforms, with a single simple gesture, into an incredibly stable downhill boot. We advise you to run to the store to learn more about it. For us, this time, the space we had wasn’t quite enough.

We Like: Not being able to review it in one page. It really rocks.
