Test: Majesty Havoc

Intro: “Everyday freeride skis” that’s how the Polish brand defines the evolution of its successful model for the freeride category.

A ski conceived and designed to meet the most varied needs: from those who prefer freeriding with lifts, to those who can’t resist short uphill transfers during the day. The light construction of the Havoc model, combined with the 4×4 design, offers incredible maneuverability. Shape, design, profile and materials have been combined with the aim of offering the best performance in powder, while maintaining good edge grip in fast turns on difficult slopes. Directional geometries, with a slight rocker at the tip and a practically flat tail, increase stability at high speed and float in powder. The innovative 4R sidecut makes turns easier, giving more confidence, stability and control on all types of terrain. It has an excellent structure and is quite lightweight, considering the 110 centimeters under the foot. Despite the large size it makes turning easier. Uphill, the insole covers the snow well, the skins have excellent grip and are not particularly heavy. Downhill, it surprises the ease with which it enters the curve and the way it follows the edge while maintaining conduction along the entire arc. Its structure seems slightly soft on hard pack, it vibrates slightly, but it remains fun and attached to the ground.
