The new Saucony Ride 15, launched this spring by the American company, compared to the previous one, has been revised in the height and quantity of foam in the midsole, which has been increased, also the compound has been changed. These are details that have improved protection and responsiveness. We liked the space on the forefoot, which was also enlarged thanks to the double-layer stretch fabric upper, which still makes it breathable. Ride 15 uses a traditional gusseted lacing system with flat laces and a fairly padded tongue. The midsole maintains the PWRRUN compound, softer than the previous model, combined with the PWRRUN+ insole which guarantees comfort. The tread is designed with a small but quite thick contact surface, with a pronounced pattern that gives traction even on gravel roads. The shoe has a 35mm stack on the heel, which makes it suitable for a heel support, but without making it uncomfortable for those who lean more advanced on the midfoot or on the toe. Being a fairly light shoe with a good response but still not for a race pace, we recommend it to advanced runners for training at medium paces.
