Test: SCARPA Rush TRK GTX

Stable and at the same time lightweight and breathable

One of the things that we evaluate and appreciate here in the editorial office in a hiking shoe that protects the joints. In fact the ankle is a delicate point and the new Rush TRK GTV, despite being all in all light for a shoe in this segment, guarantees this thanks to a 3D Autofit collar in padded fabric precisely to protect the ankle area, while the lacing with the lanyards ensures that the pressure is evenly distributed. The fit is quite stable and there are no pressure points: the weight is distributed evenly, making walking pleasant even on uneven grounds with an excellent grip, both uphill and downhill. That’s because the Presa TRK-01 sole is made of Supergum compound with high grip and durability, the pronounced heel and the presence of caps favor braking on descents and grip on climbs. Cushioning is guaranteed by the IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology which can count on the presence of 7 shock-absorbing domes that support the weight of the body in a progressive and specific way. Walking with the Rush TRK GTX is very comfortable because the foot is firm and protected, but at the same time the shoe is very breathable: the outer lining is highly resistant to abrasion and quick drying, while the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane is highly breathable and has a remarkable ability to disperse heat. The result is that the feet are protected from rain and damp ground, while the sweat evaporates very quickly, maintaining a feeling of freshness throughout the activity.
