It is a boot designed for demanding excursions: scree, rocky terrains and particularly challenging situations. For this reason it is both strong and robust, with a slightly stiff sole, but also quite lightweight for a boot: in short, Zamberlan’s Baltoro Lite GTX is what you call a passepartout shoe. Firm from the toe to the ankle, it gives a feeling of safety on any type of trails, the upper is made of Perwanger leather of moderate thickness, 2.2-2.4mm, and can also count on extra reinforcements in some parts, especially on the toe and back of the heel, edged in PU rubber. The waterproof membrane made of Gore- Tex Performance Comfort completes the lining. Optimized precisely to provide protection in various climatic conditions, while also ensuring high breathability. The outsole combines dual density PU foam midsole with a Vibram Star Lite sole that can also count on a slight step in the heel area for extra grip. The sole has also been designed to provide for the attachment of crampons, this makes it suitable to be worn even during adverse weather conditions, where there may be patches of snow to cross, but not to walk on long routes on completely snow-covered peaks

We Like: Its flexibility, both in the use and during the performance.
