The North Face: “Explore Cortina with Simone Moro”
A day of outdoor sports in the Dolomites with The North Face and the famous mountaineer member of its team of athletes.
On Saturday, Feb. 25, The North Face invites outdoor sports enthusiasts to its Winter Experience between ski mountaineering, snowshoeing, climbing sessions and an evening of great excitement hosted in one of the best-known and most popular mountain resorts: Cortina d’Ampezzo. The star of the day will be mountaineer and The North Face team athlete extraordinaire Simone Moro who will lead the morning ski mountaineering session for the more experienced on the Cadini di Misurina and in the afternoon will share his advice during the climbing session at Cortina360, the climbing gym offering indoor climbing on more than 80 routes (from 3b to 8b+), on a maximum height of 24 meters and up to 30 meters of development, partnered with The North Face since August 2022.
Activities are also planned for beginners during the day: a ski mountaineering session at the Giau Pass and Giau Fork and snowshoeing at Malga Giau and Becco Muraglia.
Simone will also be the star of the evening Speaking Series at the Alexander Hall cinema in Cortina D’Ampezzo, at 7 p.m., during which the exploits of the Bergamasque mountaineer on the world’s highest mountains will be retraced, with a profound reflection on how his vision of mountaineering has changed over the years. For running enthusiasts, on the other hand, rendezvous on the eve of February 24 with the footwear test during which people will be able to try out the newest models in the Vectiv Summit Trail footwear line, the sophisticated technology running shoes that have enabled the brand’s athletes to achieve extraordinary goals in races around the world. The session will start at 5 p.m. from the Cortina D’Ampezzo store (Corso Italia 124) and will end at 7:30 p.m. Free event upon registration.
