The Oberalp Group inaugurates the first Mountainshop of the Dolomites in Campo Tures

Ribbon cutting in the Ahrntal Valley of the new format for mountain retail developed by the Oberalp Group. In addition to the technical mountain brands owned by the South Tyrolean brand house – Salewa, Dynafit, Wild Country, Evolv and Pomoca – the spaces in the new Mountain Shops will also be open to third-party brands to offer a tailor-made service for every local reality.

The official opening of the new Tubris Mountainshop, the first store of the new retail format developed by the Oberalp Group, was celebrated in Campo Tures. In fact, the new store opened its doors to mountain enthusiasts more than a month ago, immediately after the loosening of lockdown measures in South Tyrol. But for an official party in respect of the safety of the participants, it was appropriate to wait for the situation to ensure greater serenity for everyone.

The new Tubris Mountainshop presents itself to mountain enthusiasts with an area of 400 square meters, in the spaces occupied until a few months ago by Sport Tubris, a historic store in the Ahrntal Valley. The special feature compared to the well-known Salewa Stores of the Oberalp Group will be the presence, in addition to the technical mountain brands owned by the South Tyrolean brand house – Salewa, Dynafit, Wild Country, Evolv and Pomoca – also of third-party brands for the summer season, such as Karpos, CMP, Scarpa and Asolo.

The philosophy behind the new Mountainshops of the Oberalp Group is to offer products and services on a local basis, i.e. that meet the needs of local mountaineers and tourists, and the vocation of each specific mountain area. For the Ahrntal Valley this also includes, for example, the possibility of renting ice axes and crampons for glacier activities, as well as tents and rucksacks for children. And in the winter season the ski touring range will include Dynafit, Pomoca and Salewa, as well as other specialist brands such as Fischer, Salomon, ATK and Head.
