Topo Athletic ‘s best-selling Ultraventure shoe is not stopping its evolution, ushering in 2023 by launching its third revamped edition. This shoe aims to meet the needs of trail runners looking for a cushioned and comfortable product with which to tackle mild to moderate terrain.
This model specifically for long distance, daily training and ultramarathons is also great for the hiker who is used to frequent and sustained walking. New features and improvements include a breathable engineered mesh upper that incorporates 30 percent recycled materials, keeping the foot cool and protected. In fact, 3 recycled 750 ml plastic water bottles are used for each pair.
The wraparound middle part helps keep the foot and heel firmly in place, giving the roll balance, agility and control.
The increased ground clearance (35 mm x 30 mm) provides additional protection and cushioning underfoot, making Ultraventure 3 the most cushioned shoe in the American brand’s off-road collection. This feature is enhanced by the midsole made of ZipFoamTM, Topo Athletic ‘s patented dual-density performance compound, which it has worked to achieve greater softness, lightness and energy return.
Good responsiveness is also provided by the Ortholite antimicrobial footbed, which can fight odor formation and resist compression. The Vibram XS Trek EVO sole features a brand new design, offering flexibility and weight relief, with lower, spaced lugs.
Ultraventure 3 also features two heel attachments and a third loop at the base of the tongue compatible with the brand’s performance gaiter to repel dirt and debris.
