VAUDE’s Neyland Padded Jacket wins Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards

VAUDE ‘s Neyland Padded jacket won the Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards.

This initiative was promoted by the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomites and focuses on selecting and showcasing innovative projects, products and ideas in various mountain-related sectors, including equipment and clothing, services and apps, and food and wine productions.

The Neyland Padded jacket was awarded in the“Mountain Equipment and Clothing” category for its sustainability.

The base material is a recycled polyamide obtained from discarded tires, while the inner lining is made from PET plastic bottles for strong insulation and warmth. Thanks to its Ceplex membrane, it is breathable, windproof and waterproof, and can withstand rain and snow. The jacket has many features, such as a high-necked hood to protect against wind and cold, cuffs that can be closed tightly or left open depending on the weather, two zippered lined pockets, and an inside pocket for valuables.

The award was given to the “Neyland Padded” jacket for its high rate of production sustainability, demonstrating once again what VAUDE‘s core values are: by using recycled materials in the textile production process, the company reduces climate-damaging CO2 emissions by up to 60 percent. In addition, VAUDE primarily uses recycled or renewable raw materials for its products and is committed to having 90 percent of its collection made from such sustainable materials by 2024.

The exhibition of winning projects opened on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomites and will remain open until Easter Monday, April 10. It will then be exhibited again from May 27 until March 2024.
