Vibram: in search of nature and lightness to rediscover “your outdoor”

We choose the right travel companions, to start living the wonders of nature safely, close to home.

Never as today, after difficult months in which we have all been forced into forced confinement, do we feel the need to get closer to nature and to rediscover its beauty. We have dreamed of mountains, lakes, rivers and seas. The impossibility of enjoying them made this desire a necessity, which led us to discover and appreciate new places, perhaps close to home, that we had never considered.

And so Vibram invites us to rediscover “your Outdoor”, to plan new excursions, although with a different scenery and spirit. Running in the woods, walking on the country paths or among the fields, rediscovering little beaten routes that lead to hidden cliffs and, sometimes, to the memories of the first sporting feats. Far from the most famous and frequented natural beauties, but equally deserving of note, for charm or for a memory of the past, you can find the closest outdoor places, which today we can return to rediscover, safely, always relying on technical products.

Vibram Litebase for Arc’Teryx Norvan Ld2

For those who practice sport at an advanced level, it is even more important to be able to rely on their footwear, a true ally in the search for performance.

Arc’teryx’s Norvan LD2 Vibram sole not only boasts an extremely clean and functional design, but also offers excellent performance thanks to the combination of the latest Vibram design and technology.

The sole is in fact made with Vibram Litebase technology, which offers an unprecedented lightness thanks to the reduction of the rubber sole by up to 50%, while maintaining a highly technical design. The rubber pads are well spaced so as to facilitate immediate cleaning of the sole. The trapezoidal shape, with a large contact area with the ground, is functional to amplify the performance of the Vibram Megagrip compound, especially on wet outdoor surfaces. The arrangement of the blocks guarantees an optimal and stable support surface. The asymmetry of the nails on the heel promotes the natural rotation of the moving foot. Much lighter than its predecessor, the Norvan LD 2 from Arcteryx is the ideal shoe for all lovers of high-intensity outdoor disciplines such as ultra running and the most difficult mountain races. The Norvan LD 2 is perfect for long distances thanks to its lightweight, breathable upper.

Vibram Litebase for Dynafit Sky Pro

Designed to meet the needs of amateur and professional trail runners, the Dynafit Sky Pro model is a concentrate of technicality and lightness thanks to the use of a sole made with Vibram Litebase technology, which reduces weight by up to 30% without affecting performance. The sole is in fact in Vibram Megagrip compound, which offers excellent grip on the most demanding, wet and uneven terrain. The design is designed to favour grip even on the most complex passages.

The rubber tread blocks are evenly spaced along the tread for stability, but are spaced apart to create mud and debris channels so as not to compromise grip. In addition, the triangular shape of the tread blocks is functional for 360° traction.

Dynafit’s Sky Pro is the ideal model for trail running enthusiasts who run and compete at higher altitudes. The shoe is equipped with a waterproof membrane gaiter that prevents mud and snow from entering, protecting the foot from stones and gravel. The comfort and grip characteristics are also increased thanks to some technical details, including a diagonal reinforcement on the heel and a quick fastening system.

Vibram Litebase for Taiss Light Mid Mammoth

Maximum lightness and comfort: these are the real plus of the Taiss Light Mid model by Mammut. A fundamental component to obtain the perfect mix of lightness and technicality, on this mountaineering model, is the sole made in Vibram Litebase technology, characterized by a very thin rubber sole (about 50% less than a traditional sole), at the same level of technicality and performance.

The strength of Vibram Litebase technology lies in the possibility to count on an aggressive and technical tread design, even though the rubber sole is so thin. The result is a very light sole, about 30% less than a traditional sole. The tread has a very technical design; on the toe there is a large support area to ensure greater grip when climbing. On the rest of the tread, on the other hand, the tread blocks are arranged in such a way as to favour more traction and braking.

Mammut’s Taiss Light Mid is a lightweight shoe, designed for the world of mountaineering and designed for sportsmen and women looking for maximum performance. The three-dimensional shape of the shoe has been developed directly on the conformation of the foot, thus facilitating comfort and a more natural fit. The bi-zone lacing also allows a custom fit depending on the situation and the different alpine terrain.
