Vibram reaffirms its partnership with the UTLO
Vibram, a leading brand in the field of high-performance rubber soles, and UTLO Events ssdrl together again for one of the most important trail running races on the Italian calendar: Vibram UTLO, scheduled on Oct. 14-15-16 in the Piedmont setting of Lake Orta.
Thousands of trail runners from all over the world will test themselves on the shores of the charming pre-Alpine lake, run through the historic village of Orta San Giulio and through the charming and fascinating town of Omegna.
The race will be held, as usual, over different distances: 18 km (1,100 m D+), 31 km (1,700 m D+), 55 km (3,000 m D+) and 100 km (5,470 m D+), with the addition, on the afternoon of Friday 14, of the Vibram UTLO Vertical, a vertical race over a 5.4 km course with a positive elevation gain of 1030 m.
On Sunday, Oct. 16, it will also be possible to take part in UTLO Trail Walk & Nordic Walking on the same route as the 18-kilometer race and UTLINO, a race dedicated to children between the ages of 3 and 12, to introduce the youngest to sports and outdoor activities.
Vibram will be present at the exhibition village located near the finish line of the races throughout the event. Runners, the public and enthusiasts will be able to participate in several initiatives offered by the company, including the opportunity to test the iconic Vibram FiveFingers minimalist footwear and the activity of resole their shoes with the innovative Vibram Elite Sole Trailrunning. Lastly, great importance will be placed on the environment, thanks to the Vibram Green Team, which will organize an “ecological walk” on four different routes and will dedicate itself to post-race cleanup of any trash and marker balises.
The trail resurfacing activity will be held on Saturday, October 15, and for the first time ever will be open to anyone who would like to participate, after registering at the following link.
