#Whyvibram: episode four with Woolrich

Fourth and last episode of the communication campaign #WhyVibram: Andrea Canè, creative director of Woolrich, talks about the collaboration and the relationship with the yellow octagon.

Vibram, world leader in the development and production of high performance rubber soles, presents the fourth episode of the communication campaign #WhyVibram dedicated to the Lifestyle world, launched on March 9th with the aim of celebrating some of the most important collaborations in the sector: the protagonist of this last episode is Andrea Canè, creative director of Woolrich, the iconic American manufacturer of outerwear.

Andrea Canè, creative director of Woolrich since 1984, tells the public about the evolution of the brand towards the world of footwear, which began about four years ago. “The footwear project”, says Andrea, “was born from the desire to create an iconic shoe that had characteristics very similar to those of our outerwear, such as: functionality, performance and durability over time”. The latter, in fact, can be found in the Vibram rubber sole, leader in the sector, which has always been at the forefront of combining innovative materials and styles.

The partnership with Giano, a young and dynamic company with a long tradition in the footwear world and a strong attention to the quality of Made in Italy, was fundamental for the creation of Woolrich’s footwear line. “With Woolrich we have developed several collections and Vibram has always been for us the strong point of the collection. Starting from the sole we built the shoe”, these are the words of Enrico Paniccià, A.D. of Woolrich Footwear brand.
