XTERRA Dolomiti by Brenta Trail

An exciting trail in what is considered by many to be the most beautiful mountains in the world

A unique trail, between the blue of Lake Molveno and the charm of the Brenta Dolomites: this is the sixth edition of the XTERRA Dolomiti di Brenta Trail, which returns on September 10. The XTERRA Trail Marathon Series are 10 races held each year in the most beautiful locations around the world, from China to Tahiti, from Scotland to the United States, and since 2016 also in Italy. Now become a reference of trail running in Europe, XTERRA Dolomiti di Brenta Trail sees the participation of top athletes from any nation, engaged in two race routes: the short 45km (valid for XTERRA ranking), with 2850m D+, and the long 64km, with 4200m D+.

It starts from Lake Molveno, passes through Andalo, into the Cima S. Maria and Cima di Campa group, reaches the Grosté Pass, and travels the entire central part of the Brenta (at the foot of historic peaks such as Cima Brenta, Crozzon di Brenta, Cima Tosa, Campanil Basso and many others) crossing Bocca di Brenta and then descending to the lake. The route connects iconic refuges of the Alps such as Croz dell’Altissimo, Pedrotti, Brentei, Tuckett and Graffer.

Registration is open and so far there are entries from 16 different nationalities. Great attention is paid to safety and organization, thanks in part to the GPS trackers each participant is equipped with, and, like last year, the event will be organized in detail according to current regulations and in close cooperation with law enforcement and health authorities. A tough competition against the backdrop of places that arouse emotions indescribable in words: this is XTERRA Dolomiti di Brenta Trail.
