SCARPA ANNOUNCES THE CHANGE OF GOVERNANCE, FOLLOWING THE CONTINUITY

SCARPA, a company from Asolo, leader in the production of mountain and outdoor activities shoes, streamlines its governance and, for the first time since its foundation, appoints a CEO external to the property.

Cristina, Sandro and Davide Parisotto, the owners, confirm their interest in the family business and take over the shares put up for sale by Andrea and Piero Parisotto, creating a new corporate structure for the occasion. Specifically, Andrea and Piero Parisotto sell their holdings in Calzaturificio S.C.A.R.P.A. S.p.A. to the new holding CORNARO s.r.l. 100% controlled by Cristina, Sandro and Davide Parisotto.

A more streamlined ownership structure and the inclusion of an external manager will allow the group to seize new market opportunities while remaining in the hands of representatives of the Parisotto family, in the wake of tradition since the fifties.

Diego Bolzonello, ex Geox CEO and one of the leading experts on the world sports footwear markets, has been appointed CEO of the company last July.

The president of SCARPA Sandro Parisotto commented: “This change in the corporate governance is a very important and exciting step. It marks the beginning of a new phase of development and growth, and the structure we have set will allow SCARPA to have that change of pace that is essential to continue to succeed. I take this opportunity to thank, on behalf of the families of the Board, Andrea and Piero Parisotto for their contribution in all these years of common journey. A renewed welcome and best wishes for the new CEO Diego Bolzonello.”
