After an irrepressible year with a lot of limited editions, Mizuno finally arrives in all premium sneakers stores around the world with its 90s Athletic collection, ready for launch through a series of events across Europe starting from February 16th.

90’s Atlhetic emerges with a great evocative force, mixing the most famous silhouette of Mizuno – Wave Rider – with iconic prints and bright colors, breaking into the here and now, and bringing with it all the imagery of the 90s.

The 90’s Athletic launch event revolves around the relationship between Mizuno and its community. The brand has in fact invited the real experts and the passionate people who feel close to the brand and its values, and are – as such – its most precious spokespersons. They are the “silent heroes” of the sneaker community.

These are the people who will be protagonists of every event, as a sort of gallery of faces, styles, ways of experiencing streetwear that transcend trends and speak of knowledge and passion.

Mizuno celebrates the sneaker community as a whole with this project, involving a series of micro-influencers and making them the main protagonists of the show together with the product.

Each event becomes a moment that not only speaks of the history of the Mizuno brand and its impressive archive, but which aims to build a bridge with the future of the sector, here symbolized by a selection of sneaker-head in each country.

The 90’s Athletic collection offers this bridge between past and present: it is representative of today’s strength, but can rely on firmly planted roots in the unique aesthetics of the 90s. The final part of the decade, in particular, saw Mizuno literally dominate in sport, working with the greatest athletes of the time and reaching technological peaks in advancement and performance. This collection is a love letter for those years, and combines the much loved Wave Rider with some of the best and most iconic models and prints in the collections of clothing of the time.
