GORE-TEX x adidas Originals collab with Conroy Nachtigall
After the success of the first two seasons of partnership with adidas Originals, Gore-Tex is now proud to present the PT3 LASCU collection, which proposes Shark Fin jackets and trousers. The PT3 concept is based on three components: the adidas Originals design philosophy “the past empowers the future”, an open source collaboration with Conroy Nachtigall and Gore-Tex products, all with the best Adidas Originals fabrics and finishes.
For the autumn-winter 2019 line Gore-Tex features a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex parka and jacket as well as Gore-Tex Infinium pants, breathable and wind resistant, from the Lascu collection, which will be available worldwide starting from from September 1st. During the creative process the main challenge lay in finding space for removable insulation. It involved taking an insulating insert that extends over a predominant area of the jacket, compressing it, placing it elsewhere and storing it. The potential disadvantage of having to deal with cumbersome and uncomfortable areas in individual pieces has been transformed by Conroy into a design feature. The shark fin. A pocket solution that allows you to remove and preserve the insulating layer by displacing the bulk to the outside, so as to ensure greater comfort during daily activities. Special attention has been paid to avoiding the use of removable elements: Gore-Tex Lascu products must be made as one piece so that the parts cannot be lost.
Conroy Nachtigall stated: “At the beginning of the Lascu project we examined the data on body temperature but in a short time the real obstacle to face turned into how to interpret these data and how to develop a strategy to apply them in practice. Heat, mobility, comfort and change, all in constant equilibrium, without being a single aspect to impose or prevail and without losing sight of Gore-Tex’s strength, which is waterproofing, but bringing something new.”

For the autumn-winter 2019 collection adidas Originals PT3 offers a breathable and wind-resistant Gore-Tex Infinium jacket with Karkaj technology that offers the same practicality of transport and at the same time a versatile comfort.
