The splitboard developed in collaboration with Xavier De Le Rue is one of the best ever made for all-around use in the open mountain.

Rossignol XV Split. A name and a guarantee. Because XV stands for Xavier De Le Rue, one of the strongest snowboarders of all time. And the splitboard developed by Rossignol together with Xavier is one of the best ever produced. The splitboard is nothing more than a snowboard that splits in two to be used uphill with skins underfoot, like two ski touring skis, and then reverts to being a board thanks to a sophisticated set of clips and specific bindings. The ultimate in making the most of that sense of freedom that only a snow board can provide, making the splitboarder completely independent of lifts.

Light, durable, precise in edge changes and in drawing turns, XV Split is designed for very versatile use, from powder snow, where it floats very well, to couloirs and steep. The only prerequisite is to be a high-level, demanding and well-trained rider. For those who are not afraid to grind thousands of meters of elevation gain uphill, and then tackle the most technical descents, there is no better. This was also certified by The Buyer’s Guide, the reference guide for the world of skiing and snowboarding in the open mountain, which awarded the XV Split as product of the year in the category.

All Mountain. To achieve this, Rossignol engineers worked on a refined construction using a mix of bamboo wood, basalt fiber, aramid and microcell for a final weight of 3,300 grams. Rossignol XV Split is available in sizes 156, 158w, 159, 161w, 162, 165w and costs 900 euros, also in Wide version.
